26 August 2026, Putrajaya – The Legal Affairs Division (BHEUU), Prime Minister’s Department organised the BHEUU Staff Knowledge Sharing Session No. 2 of 2026, held at Dewan Saksama, Level 2, BHEUU. The session was part of BHEUU’s ongoing efforts to strengthen staff understanding of developments and the implementation of legal reforms in the country.
The Knowledge Sharing Session focused on four key agendas, including a briefing on the Witness Protection (Amendment) Bill 2026, delivered by the invited speaker, Puan Nur Hidayah Raihan binti Md. Nasir, Legal Officer Grade L12, Protection Division, Prime Minister’s Department (BPJPM). The Witness Protection (Amendment) Bill 2026 was passed by the Dewan Rakyat on 14 July 2026 and subsequently by the Dewan Negara on 22 July 2026.
The session also featured a presentation on the Sexual Offences Against Children (Amendment) Bill 2026 (SOAC). In addition, the programme included briefings on the BHEUU Strategic Plan 2026–2030 and the BHEUU Digitalisation Strategic Plan 2026–2030, aimed at strengthening strategic planning, digitalisation and the delivery of more effective legal services.
The session is expected to enhance the knowledge and understanding of BHEUU staff regarding current developments in the legal sector, while supporting ongoing efforts to strengthen legal reforms and improve the quality of public service delivery.
