5 January 2026, Putrajaya – The Prime Minister, YAB Dato’ Seri Anwar Ibrahim, delivered his New Year Address 2026 during the Monthly Assembly with the staff of the Prime Minister’s Department (PMD) for January, outlining a clear and focused direction for the Government’s administration. The Right Honourable Prime Minister emphasised the importance of strong unity and called for a high level of commitment among civil servants, who serve as the driving force in translating the nation’s vision into action with integrity and high impact.
The presence of the Director General of the Protection Division, Prime Minister’s Department, Mr Khairul Anwar bin Zakaria @ Abdul Hamid, at the assembly reflected the Department’s leadership commitment in supporting these national aspirations. In the same address, the Prime Minister also expressed his gratitude for the country’s encouraging performance, achieved through the continued support of civil servants in implementing the more progressive MADANI Government policies.
Moving forward, the Government’s primary focus is on enhancing the quality of public service delivery, strengthening strategic inter-ministerial synergies, and advancing the Malaysia MADANI agenda in a holistic manner. It is hoped that the key messages of this address will serve as a guiding beacon and source of motivation for all PMD personnel to continue striving for excellence and delivering their best service to the nation, in line with the philosophy of Malaysia MADANI.
