4–5 April 2026, Putrajaya – The Chess Team of the Protection Division, Prime Minister’s Department (BPJPM) officially participated in the MAKSWIP Chess Championship 2026 held at Level 1, Multipurpose Hall, Menara Seri Wilayah, Federal Territories Department. The championship, held over the weekend on 4 and 5 April 2026, showcased the team’s determination in representing the division in an inter-agency sporting event.
The BPJPM team was represented by Encik Mohammad Fadzli bin Ngatmi, Rico and Neo as the main players, with Jager serving as the technical officer providing support throughout the tournament.
Throughout four competitive rounds, the team demonstrated strong competitiveness against players from various government agencies. Encik Mohammad Fadzli bin Ngatmi collected 3.5 points out of a possible 7 points, while Neo secured 3 points out of 7 points. Rico recorded 1 point out of 7 points during the championship.
The management extends its congratulations and appreciation to all members of the BPJPM Chess Team for their determination, discipline and sportsmanship displayed throughout the tournament. Their participation reflects the dedication of the division’s personnel not only in fulfilling official duties but also in actively engaging in sporting activities that foster teamwork and healthy competition.
