18–19 July 2026, Putrajaya – The Dragon Boat Team of the Protection Division, Prime Minister's Department (BPJPM) delivered an impressive performance by advancing to the final of the Putrajaya International Dragon Boat Race 2026, held at the Putrajaya Water Sports Complex.
On the opening day of the championship, the BPJPM Paddlers produced a strong performance in Men's Agency Semi-Final 1, securing a place in the final after finishing third behind Perbadanan Putrajaya (PPj) and Kuala Lumpur City Hall (DBKL). The team's achievement was further boosted by the enthusiastic support of BPJPM officers and staff who were present to cheer on the contingent.
The competition continued on the second day with the final race, where SMART JPM emerged as champions, followed by RMP Paddlers in second place and PCC Paddlers in third. Despite facing strong competition from experienced teams, the BPJPM contingent finished the championship in sixth place overall, demonstrating determination, resilience and competitive spirit throughout the event.
This achievement reflects the team's commitment, discipline and strong teamwork displayed throughout the two-day championship.
